Which Accounting or ERP Software Is Right for You? (UAE Software Finder)
Last reviewed: By Kenobiz Solutions editorial team
Choosing accounting or ERP software in the UAE now starts with e-invoicing: whatever you pick must issue structured e-invoices through an accredited service provider (ASP) before your deadline. This finder asks six questions about your size, activity, needs and current tool, then shows the deadlines that apply to you and three software options that fit, each with the reasons and what to check.
Six quick questions. You get the e-invoicing deadlines that apply to you and three software options that fit your size, activity and current set-up, with the reasons.
How does the software finder work?
It combines three things: the e-invoicing phase set by your revenue (Ministerial Decision No. 244 of 2025, as amended), the needs that come with your activity and the ones you tick, and the software you already use. If your current tool covers your needs, keeping it comes first. Each option shows its official ASP status and public price.
The software data comes from our comparison of the best accounting software in the UAE and of ERP software for UAE SMEs, with the ASP status checked against the Ministry of Finance list on 10 October 2026. Prices are public prices, excluding VAT; Odoo's licence prices are on odoo.com/pricing.
Your activity adds the needs that usually come with it. A trading company needs stock and purchase orders, a shop or a restaurant needs a point of sale, a manufacturer needs production, and a contractor needs project tracking. You can add others, such as several companies, a CRM or payroll with Wage Protection System (WPS) files.
What do the results tell you?
Two things. First, your deadlines: the date by which you must appoint an accredited ASP and the date your e-invoicing must be live, with the number of days left. Second, three software options ranked for your profile, each with why it fits, what to check (plan level, connector, project scope) and a link to compare in detail.
For the details behind each option, see Odoo vs Zoho Books, our e-invoicing software comparison and the official list of accredited ASPs. For a full picture of where you stand, including your data and your ASP contract, take the e-invoicing readiness check, and estimate your exposure with the penalty calculator.

Frequently asked questions
Is the software finder free?
Yes. It takes about one minute, needs no account and asks for no contact details. Your answers stay in your browser: you see your deadlines and three software options on screen.
How are the three options chosen?
From your answers: the software you use today and whether it covers your needs, your activity, the needs you tick (stock, purchasing, manufacturing, several companies, CRM, point of sale, payroll, projects), the number of users and your growth plans. Each option comes with the reasons it fits and what to check. The criteria are published on our page on how we compare software.
I already use Zoho Books. Should I change?
Not if it covers your needs. Zoho is itself an accredited ASP, so activating e-invoicing on your plan (Professional or above) is usually enough. Review the choice if you add manufacturing, a point of sale, several companies or many users.
Can a freelancer use Odoo?
Yes. Odoo works from a single user: a freelancer can start with invoicing and accounting only, then add apps such as CRM, projects or stock in the same database as the business grows.
Which deadline applies to my business?
Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an accredited service provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027. Below AED 50 million, the dates are 31 March 2027 and 1 July 2027. Government entities appoint by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 October 2027.
